Ishmael Bangura FFA started IB&Co in 2014, after university and an accountancy training programme. He had no job, and just £50 spent on business cards he designed himself and ordered from Vistaprint.

He saw a gap in the market: many small business owners didn’t have time to visit a nine-to-five accountant. So he built the practice around his own circumstances, meeting clients in the evenings after his day job. He began as a sole trader, trading as Ibangs Accountancy Services, and incorporated as IB&Co Accountants Ltd in 2018.

Since then, he and his team have helped more than 950 clients. That’s what we call Modern Practice, Modern Approach: business support and advice alongside the traditional accountancy you would expect. And we still work around you, not the other way round.

Ishmael Bangura, Managing Partner

Ishmael Bangura FFA is a qualified tax adviser and Fellow Financial Accountant with a finance degree and 15 years’ experience across corporate finance and practice. He and his team have helped more than 950 clients. IB&Co Accountants is regulated by the IFA and IPA. Having built several businesses and exited one himself, he brings hands-on experience of start-ups, entrepreneurship and business processes to every client.
